Update - I appreciate that the new Customer Service Mgr wanted my business back that she arranged for some of my complaints to be looked at. I was satisfied that they finally fixed the rearview mirror and looked at the consistent leak in the right rear tire. I hope that this service is consistent and I can return frequently when needed.

this is a review for katrin @ steven's creek subaru. I have to say that originally I maybe would have written a 1 star review like many others I see on here who went in for support BUT Katrin changed all that. I got a flat tire after a couple months of just buying my new car at the dealership. I called Katrin because she saved her # on my phone and said call for anything...and I call on a Sunday afternoon and she answers after 2 rings and gets me to call roadside assistance who arrives within half hour to fix everything and get me on my ways. (I'm not the smartest guy when it comes to this kind of stuff) She also calls maintenance in advance to make sure they know I'm coming in tomorrow. now when I get here (1 star part of this review) the service guy was rude (won't name any names but it's NOT Chris Hayes - he's really GREAT too) and he's like "do you have an appointment?"; " it's probably not covered by warranty"; "have a seat and I'll call you after 3 hours to have a look (keep in mind: my car is outside and I drove 15 miles to get here on my lunch break and he won't even get off his seat to check!).. I'm about to leave pissed off and I get another call from Katrin making sure everything is OK for me. I tell her about my experience and she makes some phone calls and gets me in front of the service manager who goes out himself and takes a look, tells me it's covered by warranty and asks me to drive back on my spare and come back when they've ordered the tire. (I'm thinking this is a little better but I can only drive 50mph with the spare and I already took a lunch off to come here and now you're asking me to come back and use my time on another day too. Give me a break, right?) so...again... I call katrin. she pulls some strings and talks to the GM of the dealership to let me have a loaner while they're fixing my car. Turns out later they don't have any loaners left (and this rude service guy again tells me "it's first come first serve" - whatever that means...) but the General Manager "MR. MO"(super cool guy) comes out and gives me the keys to a certified used Honda EXL 2008 (leather seats, moon roof and the works). 2 days later, i have my car back. washed looking and smelling brand new, tires replaced and an overall great experience THANKS TO KATRIN. this lady is awesome BECAUSE she didn't even sell me the car, she just finished my paperwork with me and, on top of that, ....(wait for it).... Katrin works @ the LA location now and she was doing all this for me even though she's not even obliged to anymore. Give this lady a medal! Katrin definitely turned around a could-be mediocre experience and made it something special. Subaru - you are lucky to have her.

We researched Outback prices before shoping around and Stevens Creek had both the best price and customer experience. (Difficult to believe but the purchase experience was really hassle-free.) We've had the car for a year now and the scheduled service has been exceptional as well. Chris, the service rep, has been fantastic to work with. I really hope they can keep up this level of service!

This review is for shopping for a brand new car. I had two car shopping experiences in the past for different brands from fair to poor and never good, so I was skeptical on the quote the sales rep gave us online. I was glad that we did get the price promised after talking to Andreas (the sales rep.) in person, which helped us to jumped right into the final car inspection phase and the transaction. Maybe the online rating and shopping trend has improved the consumer experience, but I do want to give them 4 stars for taking good care of us late on Friday night. Andreas was good at letting us know which step of the process we were at. The paper work at the financial office was also quite smooth, comparing to my past experience of sitting in the office for 30 mins just to listen someone going through each additional package I could add. This experience is much preferable. I do appreciate Andreas helping us getting familiar with the vehicle before setting us off the road, from setting up the bluetooth to a demo of releasing the electronic handbreak if it ever gets stuck. I'll decide if this place deserves 5 stars after couple more days with the Outback since we just got it last night.

I just bought my second Subaru from these guys. Back in 2004 I bought a Forester, because of the safety ratings, right before the birth of my son. Now with two, it's all the more important to keep the family safe. I'm a fan of AWD. If it's good enough for Lamborghini (please notice the next time you're in one: no roll bar either, AWD instead) it's good enough for me. Ok, so I'm an old hand at this car-buying thing. Not my first time to the rodeo, shall we say (in our best Barney Fife!) I did all the research, I knew what I wanted and what local people were paying for it. I called up and asked for a manager, explained that I just want to avoid doing the "dance." I told him specifically what I wanted, that I'm shopping it around and will go with the best quote, so as to avoid the usual haggling experience. He understood, and told me someone would call me back. Sure enough 5 minutes later I was talking to a Shmoe who was telling me the MSRP on my car was 5 grand higher than I knew it was. I got so F***ing pissed off!! This is exactly what I wanted to avoid!! I thanked him and hung up. I proceeded to write a review similar to the one star reviews you see here. Then I got a call back from the original manager I spoke to, asking for a chance to talk. I ignored it. Then I got a yelp msg from the dealership. Give us a chance, deal with the gen manager it said. I really don't know why, but I went ahead and called back. they quoted me a price that no other dealership could touch, and they got my business back. This was the right time of year to buy and all but I feel I got an AMAZING DEAL. I even learned that "the dance" may not be as insanely preposterous as it seems, as the sales guys really don't have any latitude in negotiating a price, it's all up to the managers. Anyway, I got an amazing deal... a thousand dollars (US) better than anything I was expecting. So the bit of the pain-in-the-ass at the start turned out to be totally, totally worth it. Do your research people, get a quote before coming in, be prepared to spend some time (although the paperwork was so quick and easy, 30 minutes tops!) Know what you are shopping for and you won't fall for something you don't want. Good luck. And thanks again Stevens Creek Suby -- Timothy, Rocky, Mathew!

I called in to find out more about their used Subarus they were advertising online. Wais, one of their salesmen happened to be coming to the Peninsula that day and was nice enough to drive me all the way to San Jose to check out their cars. I was undecided on which model I wanted and I not only got in some good test drives but learned about the pros and cons of each vehicle. Wais is extremely knowledgeable about the cars he's selling and was patient enough to answer all of my questions thoroughly. None of that desperate, pushy vibe some car salesmen give off. Overall, the whole experience was positive and I felt like I was treated very respectfully.
