It all boils down to the person you meet when you first walk into a dealership. We went into Stevens Creek Subaru a few weeks ago and met Mark Moore. All during the experience of figuring out which SUV I wanted (getting quotes over the Internet, etc), Mark kept in touch with me and unabashedly quoted the lowest price for what I wanted. My research went as far out as Roseville and included all area Subaru dealers. Some never quoted price. I ended up getting a 2.5i Outback at a great price, substantially lower than other quotes I received. The ultimate compliment one can pay as a customer of any business is to recommend to a friend. I did. My good buddy and his wife bought a similarly equipped car, also from Mark, and we both picked them up on Christmas eve. The process of payment and finance was painless and easy for both of us (I followed him into the finance office right after he finished!) I am very happy with my new Outback and I give Mark high scores for integrity, honestly and kindness. There are a few stray marks on my car that need extra detailing so will take my Outback in next week, this being the only blemish on a great buying experience. I have taken to heart the comments made about the service department at this dealership, and will most likely have service performed someplace else, so thank you Yelpers for these comments. The bottom line: Ask for Mark Moore!
I just bought my 2010 Subaru Outback today. I had to create an account to post a review after reading the other reviews on here about Stevens Creek Subaru. I always use Yelp to get an idea about what i am about to deal with, but have never thought to post. After my experience I must say that I question all the bad reviews on here. About 2 days I go, I emailed Mark Moore, the internet manager asking for a quote on 2010 Outback. Mark told me he would give me a screamin' deal and he did. He was professional, honest and was a man of his word. The price he gave me over the phone was the exact price that he sold me the car at. He wasn't pushy at all, answered all my questions, and made this one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MARK AND HIS MANAGER MOHAMMAD! THESE GUYS ARE ALL STAR SALES PROFESSIONALS. And yes I may be putting a lot on this because I got a great deal, but everything I am saying is true. Give this dealership a chance. Don't base your decision based on these negative reviews....and make sure you call there and ask for Mark Moore!
Just bought a Subaru Forester today there today. I just read Sherif's post who also bought a car there today... and I can only agree with what he says. I was a little scared by all the other yelp reviews, but I got a great deal from Mark Moore, the internet sales manager, and I never thought I'd say that from a car dealership, but this was a pleasant and quick transaction. Mark is honest, not pushy and did a great job explaining the car and contract details. I'm sure other yelp reviews have some basis to them, it probably depends on the car dealer you work with. I'm giving 5 stars for now and reserve the right to change my rating after I go service my car there.
This review and rating is for Mark, the Internet Sales Director. Although I wound up not buying a car here Mark was incredibly easy to work with and consistently offered great prices without being pushy or aggressive. He was even quite cordial and wonderfully mature when I wound up not buying the car from him (which I cannot say about another salesman at a different dealership). I know people have had bad experiences with this dealership, but I have to say that I highly recommend Mark -- either he's the one shining light here or things are changing at Stevens Creek, but either way my interactions with him were always pleasant and straight-up fair.
I didn't have any issues with this place; I bought a WRX in Dec 2006 from there - can't remember the sales guy's name, as it was a few years back, and they were pretty standard car dealership. I did end up going to Santa Cruz for service as it had so many glowing reviews, though. Not being able to resist the lure of the Impreza after a couple of years with an SUV, I went back there this weekend and bought an '09 STI from Masood, the internet sales guy. I was particularly after an '09 as I didn't like the '10 interior, and they had the right car on the lot. I used the subaru webform to get a rough trade-in quote - he emailed back with a good price on the STI and used edmunds book price for a guideline trade-in. When I arrived later that day he competently answered all my questions about the car, model year differences, options etc, came with me on a brief - 10 minute or so - test drive, found the nav DVD and let me play with that for a while, etc. No pressure at all. We then had an hour or so of completely good-natured back and forth on the value of my trade-in before we settled on a deal that suited me (inc 0% for 48 months on the difference) and I was out of there with all the paperwork done in a couple of hours. Even the finance guy was nice and tried to sell me absolutely nothing extra, which is a first in my experience. So: I can't vouch for walking in off the street, but working on a deal in advance with Masood worked out just fine for me. They shift a lot of cars and tend to have more choice than many other local dealers, especially of high end models like the STI. My only complaint is that there aren't any decent roads around the dealership... you'd have to go a way to find anything that would allow you to frighten the salesperson on the test drive. Not really much they can do about that though, don't think they would really go for hour long test drives in brand new cars!
It's official! Stevens Creek Hooked me up! I recently took advantage of the C.A.R.S. program and took in my old Van and bought a 2009 Impreza 2.5i I gotta say the whole experience couldn't have been any easier. Robert Beltran, Lawrence, Ramsey, and Alex really took care of me. On Saturday (8/8), I just walked in, knew what I wanted, knew what they had, took the car for a spin. I talked numbers with Robert and Lawrence for all of 45 minutes tops. once we reached an agreement I just had to wait for everything to go through Alex in finance. While I was waiting I was just chilling with Robert, just shooting the ****, Ramsey came by and joined in, super cool dude. Once Alex had all the paperwork ready, I went in, signed it all, he went over the whole deal. He even tweaked it a little to make it even sweeter and he told me that when Monday rolls around and everything gets finalized, it will all only get better. We shook hands and I rolled off the lot in my Subaru at 8pm on Aug. 8th. (I know lots of 8's right) Needless to say I felt really good about the whole thing. Now Monday is here. Alex calls me. I come in to the dealership, he's got the new deal. I got a lower rate and a shorter term, and I got full matainence for the first 45k and full warranty for the first 75k. and I got the old plates transfered off the van I was stoked! Hands down the best experience ever!
