I give them a 'woohoo as good as it gets' with the caveat that buying a car just plain sucks no matter what. I hate it!!!! With that in mind, I decided that I was going to call around for a used (2008) Subaru Outback. Each place I told them exactly what I wanted - out the door for $18K including all fees with a max of 20K miles. Ramsin of Stevens Creek looked at his inventory, told me he had what I wanted - he was the only one. Other places told me they just couldn't do it for that price. He sent me the paperwork ahead of time, had the car detailed and ready when we arrived. After a quick test drive, we signed the paperwork and we're done - a total of 1 hour in the dealership. I love the car, and feel good about the price I got. I also feel good that I was not tortured by a car dealership for an entire day. Ramsin was great. The caveat is he told me he is leaving the dealership...oh well.
I bought a new 2009 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport. I have been to Stevens Creek Subaru twice - on Thursday and Friday (03/26/09 and 03/27/09). We did not agree on the price on Thursday and on Friday I bought the car. This review relates to my Friday experience. On Friday my sales representative was Abdul Qudrat, and everything went smooth. A friend of mine worked in a car dealership and here are some tips from her that I find useful. 1) All that - "I have to talk to my manger" - stuff is meant to hold you in the dealership for as many hours as possible so that you get tired (especially if you come there with a kid) and buy the car. 2) No matter what you do but the trade-in value they offer you will be very low. I traded in my car for 1.5K less than what I could easily get from another dealership. If you have time and desire it is ALWAYS better to sell your old car on craigslist list or some other place. 3) 2K from MSRP should be taken off by default. The rest is negotiable. From her experience between 2K and 5K can be taken off the MSRP, 4) Do not buy the car the first time you come to dealership. 5) E-mail different dealerships and ask a quote from them. Conclusion: My overall experience was good - Adil and the manager Jeff ware courteous and even though I did not get the best price I believe that all of us were satisfied with the transaction.
This review is for Masood Mir, one of the internet salespersons at Stevens Creek Subaru. Let me start off by saying, if you're looking to buy a car and your plan is to walk into the dealership and negotiate prices that way, then you're wasting your time. Best way to shop around these days for cars is to have a few dealerships give you the lowest bid, per se, on the car you want to buy. (go to website, build a vehicle, request quotes, then reply to each dealer to get the lowest price, I got my impreza 2.5i 5 door for about a thousand under invoice) I don't know why so many yelpers have given this dealership such a horrible rating. The people inside seem very nice. It was raining when I bought my car and a nice sales person even came out with an umbrella to guide us into the dealership from the lot. Maybe some of the salesmen who are only at the dealership short term (Masood has been there for a few years so he has a reputation to hold) and quit only after a few months are total jerks, but Masood made the process easy and simple. I have also heard of people who can be hired to change ratings over yelp.com. To prove that I'm legit, you can email me and swing by and see the car I bought. I'm also 19 years old so many salespeople don't take me very seriously when I say I want to test drive vehicle A and compare it to vehicle B at another dealership, but Masood was very patient and didnt try to change my plans. He also drives the same brand of car that he sells. Overall this dealership is clean, the staff is nice, and the price is the best around (Carlsen couldn't match the offer and Captiol had a lack of inventory). If there are any bad things to say, it would be the size of the dealership. Could use some remodeling and expansion. I'll try to remember to come back and edit the post after I get my foglights put in by the service department which arent open on Sundays. *Edit Got back from dealership service on my car. Pretty quick. They didn't start until 30 minutes after my appointment time, but it was done 30 minutes later so it was cool.
I was shocked about all of these bad reviews, but I thought I give it a shot anyhow. WOW to my amazement, my experience with this dealer has been GREAT from the beginning to now. Back in August of 2008 my family and I were in the market for a new vehicle. Zacki, an Afgan gentleman, was our salesman. He was very patient with me as I am a very particular individual. He didn't pressure me to buy, which is very unusual for a salesman. NO, I DIDN'T BUY THAT DAY TOO. It took me five days and many test drives to decide on the right vehicle for my family. I can see how his demeanor may be perceived as "I do care about you", but I can assure you that is not the case. He is very knowledgable about cars and its mechanic. My husband had a ball quizzing his knowledge. My experience didn't end there. I picked up my new car at night so I didn't see all of the dirt and smudges on the windows. The dealership cleaned it again with no question ask. When I wanted to exchange the mat in the back for a different color, the dealership did it with no problem. Of course, these all transpired within a week of the purchase. As of today, Stevens Creek Subaru takes care of the maintenance of my car. I have no complaint. Check out the dealership and judge it for yourself.
I read all these terrible reviews here, but I gave them a try and found my experience to be very pleasant. I dealt with the internet sales manager Masood, got a great deal, and walked out very satisfied with a Legacy GT. I went in for a test drive, which went very smoothly, he had pretty much the exact car I wanted, and had originally quoted me a great price. After I slept on it for a day, I went back, we confirmed the price, made sure the numbers were in order (and my credit), and we had a deal. I dunno about anyone else at the dealership, judging from these reviews, but I would definitely recommend Masood if you're looking for a Subaru.
I love Subaru cars. After a poor experience in Stevens Crk Subaru service department, I never went back there for service. This is a big problem for me because I didn't want to drive far outside the valley for service. Just so you know, they were trying to convince me to get more service than I needed.
