I did my research and I knew the exact car and the price I wanted to pay when I went into Stevens Creek Subaru. I was told the car was a certain price when we started negotiating but then all of a sudden, it wasn't that price anymore. The sales staff seemed to have a "disconnect" with management on pricing but in the end, I did get the exact car and price I wanted. The good news about this dealership is that the general manager is very approachable and a genuinely nice man that adds the gracious touch that some of his sales staff lack. All in all the experience was good after a rough start. I have heard from several others that Amir is the sales person to ask for.

I got what I wanted so I rank it 5 stars. Working with Amir V got me the best deal on my lease. We were just buying wine at the Bev Mo next door and decided to look around for a car for my wife for her birthday in a few weeks. My 8 year old son and I were just looking. While looking at their inventory, we spotted a "for lease" sign inside a 2009 Legacy 2.5i Special Edition sedan and decided to ask Amir a few questions. After a few back and forths (in a partnership kind of way and not at all antagonistic) we came up with a deal that I couldn't say no to. Because of the 4th of July weekend (their motivation to close a sale), and maybe our "soft" approach made a difference in us getting an agreement that fits my needs and budget. So my experience was first rate. Thanks Amir!

I was very, very skeptical of Steven's Creek because of the poor Yelp rating. I contacted Masood Mir through e-mail and he immediately offered the car I wanted at a good price. After a very minor amount of negotiating (all through e-mail), he lowered it even more. I first went to another "higher rated" dealership who told me that they had the car I wanted and at a good price. When I showed up, though, it turned out that they did not have the car and had to ship it from another place. But, it shouldn't be a problem because the place they were getting it from was going out of business and the car was "given" to them. So I left with the intention of purchasing the next day when it arrived. The next day I get a call saying that, unfortunately, they would need to increase the price of the car b/c they had to actually "buy" it from the other dealership...BS! I called Masood Mir from Steven's Creek and asked if he still had the car and could still offer the price as negotiated. Yep! I drove down, test drove and inspected the car, and owned a new WRX within a few hours. In fact, I'm the one that spent a long time at the dealership because I hadn't changed my insurance policy yet...they were probably getting frustrated with me! The car was clean except for a very, very minor scratch on the bottom panel by the door. They had no problem agreeing to have the car taken care of. When I later decided that it really wasn't worth the effort, Masood offered me the first oil change for free! He also agreed to hook me up with a small bottle of touch-up paint. I can't speak yet for the rest of the sales department or the service department at Steven's Creek, but I can say that Masood Mir is the man. Thanks! Oh, and he actually drives a Subaru, which is always a nice sign.

I bought a Subaru Forester back in 2004. My experience here was fine because I did my homework in advance. Here's my unsolicited advice that should work for anyone buying any car anywhere: 1) I subscribe to Consumer Reports.I like it because it is unbiased. I ordered their in-depth report ($12) on the Forester. They offer these reports for virtually every car on the market. 2) Armed with the in-depth Consumer Report uh, report, I decided what options I wanted, the color, etc., The report also details what BS fees they (the car dealers) try to charge you (advertising fee, destination fee, etc.). I decided wasn't going to pay those ridiculous fees. 3) I called every single Subaru dealership from San Jose to Santa Rosa. (Yes this was a drag, but it was faster than visiting several dealers). I told them what car I wanted, what options I wanted, and what I was going to pay. I was firm on my price because I knew what the REAL cost was. i told them I was ready to buy the car today. I told them I wasn't going to come in and negotiate. I told them if they wanted the sale, they'll honor my price. Steven's Creek was the only dealer that said ok. I drove down, made the deal, and left. There was no funny business and they didn't waste my time. Does this make them a great dealer@f0 Did I get lucky with a desperate salesman@f0 Who knows@f0 But try my tactic. It'll save you time, money, and aggravation. By the way, I actually paid less than what the Consumer Reports in-depth report stated was a fair price. Hope this helps.

I don't know whats going on with all these bad reviews. They are probably reviews from people who did not get what they wanted so they bitch and complain. My name is Matt C. and I drove into the Stevens Creek Subaru's lot looking at a couple of cars i was interested in. As i looked at an STI a sales man by the name of Robert Z. came to help me out. He didnt pressure me at all into buying a paticular car right away. He was interested in knowing what i wanted to buy so he could help me out the best way he can. He helped me by getting quotes for all the cars i was interested in (2 other STI's and an EVO). We went to sit at his desk and i told him what i was working with and how much i can afford as far as monthly payments were concerned. He walked to the finance department and handled everything for me. I got everything i wanted! My monthly payments were lower than I wanted and Robert Z. made that happen. If it were any other salesman at any other dealer, i would have been told there was no hope for me. I drove away in a car i wanted to go home with. I'm completely happy with my purchase and extremely happy with how i was handled. If it wasn't for Robert Z. i would not have my STI today. If you're looking to buy from this place talk to Robert Z. he'll take care of you. Thanks Robert!

I couldn't have asked for a better car buying experience. This is the 3rd car that I've bought brand new from a dealership, and this experience was the best yet. Let me say that for those that have had a bad experience here, they must have changed since those bad reviews, or I just never encountered any of the bad salespeople. I was going to avoid this dealership based on the negative reviews, but it was the only one that had both cars that I wanted to testdrive. My plan was to testdrive here and then buy elsewhere, expecting to have a bad experience. Instead of a bad experience it was quite pleasant. My girlfriend and I showed up on a Sunday afternoon, a sales rep, Kash, approached us and asked about our interest. I explained what I wanted to test drive, and he asked when I was planning on buying. After I said within the next month, he went and got the keys and I test drove both cars. For both drives he rode with us, but didn't babble on about how great the car was, or other small talk, he just let me drive the car the way I wanted. At the end of both test drives, I knew what I wanted, got the sales person's card and told him I'd get in touch that week. There was no hard sell or anything - he actually seemed very appreciative that I was wanting to buy a car. I followed up that week, and came in to discuss my options since they didn't have the particular car I wanted on the lot or in the bay area. They ended up being able to order the car exactly as I wanted (color/options) and had it within 3 weeks. They never even bothered me to get a deposit, and as far as price, I told them I wanted what was advertised on bayareasubaru and that was no problem - no haggling or having to talk with the manager. The car showed up exactly when they said it would, and they called me a couple of times just to keep me posted that everything was progressing as expected. When I went in to pick up the car they had me drive it first and inspect it to make sure there were no problems and then they went over some its features while I was waiting for the finance person to be ready. Then I signed all the paperwork, wrote a check and that was it. No hard sell for extended warranty or maintenance or any of those options. I even asked why they didn't try to sell me anything and they said they wanted to keep it as simple as possible - they were more than happy to explain the extra services that they offered, but didn't assume I wanted to hear about them. All in all, I can't complain about anything about this experience - it was hassle free and pain free, and I got exactly what I wanted for a price that was about 10% off MSRP (I bought a 2009 WRX Premium Hatch). The salesperson I initially dealt with was Kash, but eventually I ended up interacting with Masood Mir the most. Both people were very friendly and non-agressive and I can't say anything bad about them. A piece of advice to anyone who is looking at buying a car (any type, not just Subaru) - use the internet. As has already been mentioned on here, if you contact the dealers in the area and get quotes and research fair prices, then you'll save yourself all the hassles that people have when they try to negotiate a price at the dealership without any information to back it up.
