I purchased a certified pre-owned Trbeca from them. I signed up to yelp just so I could write a positive review for them. When my wife and I went to do a test drive the vehicle, salesman 'Kash' treated us like adults and let us do a test drive. After we were done with the test drive, we were still not sure, but Kash did not put any pressure on us and told us that we could come back if we decide to buy the car. We went back on the last day of 2010 and the dealership was very busy. We finally made the purchase and drove the vehicle off the lot. After a couple of days, I noticed that they had made a mistake on the contract as some of the numbers were not matching. I went back after a couple of days and they wrote me a new contract with the right numbers the next day. It was all hassle free and we did not feel any pressure. Kash and General Manager Jeff made the whole car buying deal so worry free for us. Kudos to Stevens Creek Subaru! This is the 6th Used car I am buying in my life, and I have been to many a car dealership - So this is not my first car dealership experience.

This dealership is actually one of my best test driving experiences. (I went to several dealerships on Steven Creek and Sunnyvale.) Like many things, I think it depends on who you work with. Sash was great with me. I told him up front I am still in the researching stage and what I am looking for in a new car. I am looking for a small SUV with certain specific options. He showed me the new Forester Touring model. Very patient with my questions and test drive. Based on our conversation, he suggested that I might also like the Outback, which would be lower overall cost given the options I like to have. We tested drive one. He is right, I like it as well. He show me potential colors and how I can compare the vehicles online. Only once, he ask if I would be buy today - he prefaced it with "I have to ask", which I understood. After an hour and a half, my husband and I left not feeling like we were pressured and actually are considering a Subaru as a choice. It was not a top choice before. I appreciate Sash's time and would definite recommend him if you want a good sales experience. Note: I cannot comment on the finance dept or the other sales people. If I end up buying from them, I will update.

Experiencing the right of passage by buying my first, brand new car could not have been more realized when I finally drove off the lot a week after signing the papers and my first review. It was such a life changing moment, that I thought Stevens Creek Subaru deserved a follow-up review. In the run up to that moment, Jason was there from the start. He made sure I knew exactly where, when, what and how things were going with the car--and this happened everyday leading up to the moment he put the keys into my hand. Everyone I dealt with made sure there were no complications, and if there were, they were ready with contingency plans. Peace of mind in itself, is something difficult to label with a price since it is often priced subjectively high. In this case, it made a world of a difference in the entire transaction. With the same understanding, Erik, the finance director, made sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. I did my own math on an option the dealer was offering, and Erik was able to beat the offer along with additional incentives. Their primary focus is the entire car buying experience. Everyone I worked with went above and beyond the call of duty, including additional follow-ups and contacting me on their days off. If you can remember everyone who assisted you on a first name basis, it should be exemplary of the superior service you've had, which I often find reserved for high-end, luxury brand dealers.

I recently purchased a new car. A Subaru Forester was one of my two final choices. When I went to the dealership for a test drive I was greeted by Tamie. I enjoyed my test drive with her and she was quite knowledgeable about the model. Then during the subsequent two weeks I worked with her to determine exactly what options and colors I wanted if I were to purchase a Forester. She was extremely responsive on phone and on e-mail. She was extremely friendly and was among the easiest salespeople that I've worked with in any transaction. I ended up selecting a different car but I would not hesitate to recommend Tamie at Steven's Creek Subaru to anybody interested in purchasing a Subaru.

After a great deal of research my husband and I finally settled on a Subaru Forester as our compact SUV of choice and NO regrets - it is an awesome car! We also looked at the Volkswagon Tiguan, the Rav4, and the Honda CR-v, but decided that the space and amenities of the Forester outweighed any benefits of the other models. Initially, we thought we were compromising on the drivability with the Forester's 4-cyl, but since driving it for a few hours I've found that it has an increadibly responsive gas pedal which accellerates smoothly when lightly pushed but revs the engine when used with a heavy foot. If you keep that in mind when you test drive the Forester you'll have a better impression than I did initially. We went with the limited model (our dog's loose hair requires leather seats) and it is so comfortable, quiet, and has more added features than I was expecting, even after reading the reviews and specs ad nauseum. We bought our car from Tamie Kerr and she is just a breath of fresh air. She gave us great advice, even when it wasn't necessarily going to profit her, she was knowledgeable and operated with no pressure tactics. We liked her approach so much that we took an online quote from a nearby dealership and brought it to her to negotiate with. After visiting with the Toyota dealership, where the salespeople didn't even bother to greet us and seemed preoccupied, or other places with pushy salespeople, the Subaru dealership was a really pleasant experience especially if you have a dog. Thank you Subaru!

My partner and I visited Carlsen Subaru a few weeks ago. When we arrived, we were approached by someone who didn't even introduce himself. We explained that we were planning on buying a used Outback and wanted to look around at the different options. We explained that we were not planning on buying that day and that we just wanted to get a feel for what was out there. As we began looking around the lot and asking questions about the different models, the guy rattled off the info so fast that neither I nor my partner could keep up. When my partner asked if it would be possible to test drive one, the guy said, "well, we're in the business to sale cars. When you're ready to buy, come back for a visit and we'll let you test drive then". I could possibly understand this if there were lots of customers on the lot, but we were the ONLY people there! I decided in that moment that it was time to leave. My partner asked for the guy's name and card. According to the card, it was Samuel Levy and his business card states that he's the "Sales Manager". Unbelievable. We left Carlsen and decided to drive over to San Jose. We stopped at Stevens Creek Subaru and was met by a salesman named "Kash". He showed us the models available, got the key and opened the two we were interested in and offered to let us test drive (without us even asking). We really were not looking to buy. We planned on trading in my partner's car but weren't even driving it that day (it was home in SF). However, we found a car we loved and Kash was amazing - patient, not pushy, just easy/normal guy. So we traded the car (that wasn't even with us) and bought an Outback from Kash at Stevenson (at what I believe was a very fair price). My suggestion - avoid Carlsen and check out Stevens Creek (ask for Kash Shirallie).
