Picked up Subaru Outback 2011 yesterday, very satisfied with the service and price so far. Don was our salesperson and he is very straightforward, I like his no hassle, no games attitude. Negotiations were easy, price was super, and Don was extremely friendly. Upon our purchase, we've been promised that they will help out on any questions we had regarding our Outback, how to setup bluetooth, garage door opening, etc... The offer is excellent and Don seems genuine about it, he's great. It's only been a day, so I won't comment on whether they can meet the service level they've offered. Maybe the dealership that their reviews have been horrible compared to others? Maybe I'm just lucky to have gotten Don as my salesperson. Whatever it is, I'm satisfied. Will comment in the future about follow-ups.
At the outset, I see that most reviews of this dealership are either 1 or 5 stars. I will preface my comments by saying that our experience was totally positive and (really) hassle-free. I attribute 99% of this to our saleman, Masood. He is the fleet manager and I happened to talk to him on the phone inquiring about a used Outback. It was sold and we ended up looking and buying a new 2011 Outback from him. I only asked Masood one time for his best price and he gave me a deal better than I expected and better than I could get online. It was so good that I did not haggle at all, even though it went against every instict dealing with car dealers in the past. To add to that Masood gave me a fair price for my trade in, which was right in the range it should have been based on the blue book and Edmunds. Masood found the exact car we wanted from another dealer and the whole purchase was done in about 1.5 hours, including trading in our car, signing all the paperwork and getting the final detailing done on the car. A really welcome change from the typical dealership experience.
I spent time this afternoon wth Erik, the finance director, to understand the Extended Warranty for our 2010 Outback. I was impressed with his thoroughness and courtesy. Although I have seen some negative reviews on Yelp, I had an opposite experience. Erik was professional, prompt and fair in his dealings with me. My expereince was very favorable. Richard
Mark Moore at Stevens Creek Subaru ! I don't know where to start about my expeirence with Steaven's Creek Subaru but Mark helped me out twice already after purchasing two cars from him. He helped me work my fianance out and worked on getting me the best deal possible. When I first shopped around at other dealerships such as Livermore Subaru. I felt that I was rushed, pushed, and if my pay check wasn't big enough for them they wouldn't help. Anyways after doing some research and finding the car they I wanted, Mark made sure I was happy. He came through for me each and everytime. Mark is also a straight up person who is willing to work with you. He takes the time to make sure your are comfortable with your purchase. What is nice about Mark is that not only after all the business part is done with purchasing the car. You want to sit down and have lunch with him. I honestly don't know or ever heard of anyone who could say that and mean it. Thanks again for all the help Mark! PS: I wish he worked at all dealership's so anyother car I want to purchase he could be there to assist.
Just traded in my '01 Impreza bought the 'green machine' from Stevens Creek Subaru and I couldn't be more thrilled with the experience. Kash was sincere and not at all pushy. He didn't try to sell me on anything beyond what I was looking for and gave me a deal that was well within reason. In addition he, unlike the guy at Capitol Subaru, paid attention to my children! I didn't care much for either the store manager or the finance guy (very pushy!) but I trust Kash and would buy from him again. Don't have much concern about the car as this is my 3rd Subaru. Regarding the service center, I will say that while the cleaning was well done, they didn't fill the tank with gas which struck me as a little odd. Saving $40 on a $23+K sale doesn't seem like good business sense. Based on all the cruddy service reviews I've decided to give them just one shot when the vehicle needs service and, if it doesn't go well, I know a great Subaru approved mechanic in Sunnyvale who'll do me right everytime!
We bought a Subaru Impreza Outback from them and had a fabulous experience from start to finish. They were easy to deal with; they were delightful; they were fair; they were accommodating. I'd buy a car from them any day of the week. And I've bought a LOT of cars over the years.
