I went in with my husband and toddler on Sunday. We knew exactly what we wanted and how much we were willing to pay, but had some questions before making a final decision. Chip Miller was super patient and really took the time to explain all the features of the car to us. He talked about the other cars we were looking at (without bashing any other brand) and took the time to make us feel comfortable. We decided to leave, have lunch and come back after we had time to think it over. We came back a couple hours later and he still, very patiently, answered more questions. In the end, we decided to buy the car here because of his attention to detail, friendliness and for not making us feel pressured! Thank you Chip for being so patient and not getting annoyed when our toddler was running around!
Christina and Mecci were awesome to deal with as I had my spot welds go out. Instead of paying, Christina mentioned to call subaru of america, and in true subaru customer fashion, they took care of it and provided me with a rental for two days. Great crew over here and I hope they stick around for a while...
I brought my brand new Outback to service on Thursday night with a flat tire. It was already after service hours so I dropped off the keys in their mailbox with description of the problem. On the next day I got a call from Troy that they don't have any replacement tires for Outback, so it will take till Monday to exchange it. I found it weird but decided to let the car there and wait. When nothing was happening on Monday I called them. I was redirected to a different person (who did not tell me his name), as Troy was out of office. This other guy told me that they replaced the tire but realized that my TPMS is broken. He told me they will check it again and he will call me in 1 hour, how much the replacement will be. When I did not get call within 2 hours, I called them back to realize that supposedly TPMS replacement is not covered with my extended warranty, so I will have to pay ~$200. I asked him how it is possible that the TPMS is damaged, when the nail was on the other side opposite to the tire vent. He again said, he would check it with the technician and call me back. Of course he did not, so I called them for the third time. He did not provide any information and said that I either have to pay the $200 or drive with a defect TPMS. I told him I would decide later about it and asked him to check my navigation system, which was not working properly either. On the next day I got a call from Troy, who had no idea about the navigation system problem, as the other guy did not note it and did not tell him anything. So I had to describe the problem again. Troy also said that they carefully examined the TPMS and they could not see any mechanical damage, so it would be a strong warranty case. However, they may need additional day to check the navigation and replace the TPMS. On Wednesday evening, 6 days after I dropped off the car, I could finally pick it up. Troy confirmed that everything was covered by my extended warranty. In the beginning I was very upset about the communication style with the other other guy, who promised 3-times to call me and he did not and who was claiming that despite my full, bumper-to-bumper extended warranty I have to pay $200 without knowing what or how it actually happened. However, Troy saved the situation and resolved the case to my satisfaction. I subtracted 1 star from the review, because an authorized Subaru service place does not have replacement tires for Outback and therefore it took 6 days to replace a flat tire.
As a first time car buyer, I was excited, but nervous and leery of what my experience would be at a dealership. I had labeled salespersons "vultures" that did anything for the sale without regard to customer wants/needs. Man-oh-man, did Stevens Creek Subaru set the bar and smash that preconceived stereotype!!! As a little background, I had researched and researched what car I wanted to buy and had come to the conclusion that the Subaru BRZ Limited automatic in the dark metallic grey was the car of my dreams. I first went in to Stevens Creek Subaru to finally look at the BRZ in person and go for a test drive in August of 2015. That is where I met Salesman Cemal Ünal. I explained exactly what I was looking for. Cemal understood that I had my mind already made up and I would take nothing less than the BRZ Limited I had built in my head. Unfortunately they did not have the 2015 BRZ Limited automatic in Dark Metallic Gray on the lot, but I was able to test drive the vehicle in another color. Cemal provided all the information regarding the features of the vehicle while test driving. Cemal went above and beyond and checked for any BRZ Limited automatic in Dark Metallic Gray within 400 miles. There were none!! Cemal informed me that the 2016 BRZ was being announced soon. The known upgrades were the StarLink infotainment platform and a back-up camera. Cemal informed me that he could order me the 2016 model to my specifications. I informed Cemal that I would wait until I could view the model online before making a decision. The 2016 BRZ models were announced mid September and I realized it was worth the wait. I immediately contacted Cemal who placed my order and provided me an estimated arrival date of late November 2015. Fast-forward to November 1, 2015 and my BRZ arrived early!! I could not wait to meet with Cemal. The day had final come! I'm going to rant about my Salesman Cemal because I truly believe he deserves my recognition. I was comfortable and did not feel pressured to settle or change my "dream car". Cemal took the time to get to know me as a person and what I was looking for in a vehicle. Cemal answered my questions in a way that was easily understood. I was never confused with what I was signing up for which I think is fantastic considering I've never gone through this process before. Cemal shared my excitement. Cemal took pride in his work and I could tell he enjoyed working with customers (not to mention he is great at it). I was provided with exceptional customer service throughout the entirety the process. I felt a genuine sense of honesty while working with Cemal, which was why I was more than happy to work with him. I've always heard Subaru is a family. Well Cemal was the first member of this family. I would also like to thank and recognize the Internet Director Masood for his exceptional service during my multiple visits. His hard work did not go unnoticed! Thank you Cemal, Masood, and the rest of the team at Stevens Creek Subaru for making this first time car buyer's experience an exceptional one! I've already recommended them twice to future car buyers and felt it was necessary to share this experience with Yelpers!
Gurpreet was very knowledgable and friendly. He made my car buying experience very pleasant. Everyone I dealt with at this dealership was very friendly and professional.
Excellent experience purchasing our new car!!! I didn't know it could be this easy. This dealership had the exact package we were looking for. We worked with Shane, who quoted us a great price over email (better than we had found through TrueCar and Costco). Shane had everything prepared when we arrived, and though he did not rush us the whole process was super fast! We were very pleased with his professionalism and knowledge. And we love our new Subaru!
