Yesterday I purchased a Used 2013 Subaru Outback for my wife from Stevens Creek Subaru. I worked with Shane Amirkiai, Internet Sales Manager. I originally located the car using the USAA Car Buying Service. Using this service, I submitted an email Saturday night after business hours notifying the dealership that I was interested in the car. At 10:19am the following morning, I received a pleasant email from Shane introducing himself. Shane noted that he had an opening in his schedule after 3:00pm and set up an appointment for my family to come in at 3:30pm that same day. When our family arrived, Shane was still wrapping up with another customer, but he already had the car we were interested in parked in front and ready for us. He promptly handed us the keys and invited us to start checking out the vehicle while he finished with his prior customer. After about 10 minutes of looking over the car, Shane returned and thanked us for our patience. He then accompanied my wife on a test drive. Both my wife and I felt that shane was very knowledgable about the car. More importantly, he was very upfront about the service costs and major service points to consider when owning the vehicle. USAA and Stevens Creek Subaru had already worked out a price on the car which Shane honored. The only point of negotiation was for the value of our trade in. The initial offer for the trade in was $2,000 below what I felt was fair value. In two trips back to his manager's office (once with my phone to display my kelly blue book research) Shane returned with a fair deal that I was comfortable with. I then worked with Ari (I don't have his last name readily available) to complete the title work. Ari was also very pleasant to deal with. Again, this was a used vehicle. Shane took note of all the blemishes I called out to him and solved all of them while I was getting the paper work done with Ari. Shane was very honest about one small chip and one small scratch. He promised a bottle of touch up paint because his shop was not going to be able to fix it. All in all, Shane was very professional, knowledgable, fair, honest and a pleasure to work with. I'm very happy with his service and our deal.
