My husband and I bought a 2014 Subaru Forester from Shane on Black Friday. Shane and I had been emailing prior to my ever setting foot in the dealership, and we'd already worked out a price I was happy with, so I was able to completely avoid the negotiation stage I had been dreading. It was a huge relief for me that Shane was so helpful via email ahead of time. The whole process still took some time while we were on-site, but Shane completely honored the deal we'd already worked out and didn't try to pressure us into adding any extra options or upgrading or any other stuff we didn't want. The service department did a great job of buffing out a couple scratches we noticed the car had acquired while in the lot, and we drove off very happy in our shiny new car. Even though it was Black Friday and they were undoubtedly swamped, it seemed to us like we had Shane's full attention the whole time we were there. If he was simultaneously juggling other customers, like we experienced at another dealership when we went in for a test drive, we never even noticed. Jason in the finance department was also really friendly and helpful, even using a personal contact from our credit union to help get our financing pushed through when the CU was closed for the semi-holiday. All in all a good experience, and completely not as bad as I was expecting for my first car-buying experience!
